DIRECTORS of the Board of the Delta Economic Summit Group (DESG), a private sector led advocacy group recently nominated and ratified Chukwuka Monye as the organization’s inaugural Director General.

The group, made up of notable private sector leaders, plans to leverage its resource base to promote initiatives that will contribute to the socio-economic development of Delta State.

Chukwuka Monye who is a strategist and consumer intelligence expert plans on digging into his rich experience and knowledge base to guide the organization towards achieving its objectives.

According to the Chairman of DESG, Ese Onosode: “We have confidence in Chukwuka Monye’s capabilities.

We are particularly excited about his very practical approach to solving problems. He has led a number of public and private sector turnaround projects.

I know that he is result oriented, does not just propose theories but has practical ideas on how to achieve results”.

The Chief Executive Officer of Financial Derivatives Company and a DESG advisory board member Mr. Bismarck Rewane, also commented on Monye’s appointment saying: “Chukwuka has the kind of mindset that produces results. He has shared some of his plans with me and frankly, they are sound”.

Monye has a PGD in Strategy and Innovation from University of Oxford’s Said Business School United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management (Honours) from Warner University, Florida, USA.

He received several awards including: “Who’s Who” in American Universities and Colleges’ and the United States Achievement Academy Award given to top students in the country.

He has attended management programs at Harvard Business School and INSEAD.
