The Sultan of Sokoto and President-General, Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has urged Muslims in the country to embrace love and share same with other humans as doing so would make Islam to be more meaningful and acceptable to others.

The monarch, who spoke yesterday in Iwo, the headquarters of Iwo Local Council of Osun State where he performed the official commissioning of the newly-built palace of Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul Rasheed Adewale Akanbi and a Central Mosque of the Wings Schools owned by former National Commissioner of INEC, Prof. Lai Olurode, also advised Muslims to be dedicated, creative and hardworking to place them in better position to survive the harsh economic reality.

He said the Muslim Umar holds it as a duty to preach and exhibit love wherever they find themselves and to live in peace with their neighbours as part of the needed ingredients to enhance development and of the society.

In his own speech at the occasion, the Oluwo also charged Muslims across the globe to always centre their preaching of Jihad around love.

Oba Akanbi, who noted that basing Islamic preaching on Sharia of punishment and killing alone could cause a lot of setback, segregation and disharmony among Muslim faithful in the country.
