Mimiko dissolves Ondo Council of Obas, names Olukare as new head

Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko has dissolved the Council of Obas. The Olukare of Ikare-Akoko, Oba Akadiri Saliu Momoh IV has been appointed as the new chairman.

Ondo State Governor, Olusegun Mimiko has dissolved the Council of Obas. The Olukare of Ikare-Akoko, Oba Akadiri Saliu Momoh IV has been appointed as the new chairman.

The Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade announced the dissolution of the council and the appointment of a new chairman in a statement yesterday.

The governor expressed appreciation to the past council of traditional rulers under the chairmanship of the Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, Oba Adesinmbo Kiladejo, for their support to his administration.

Meanwhile, Governor Mimiko has approved the appointment of Prof. Sunday Robert Ogunduyile as the Vice Chancellor of Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa.

This development was contained in a statement yesterday by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Aderotimi Adelola. The appointment takes immediate effect.
