Medical Students Treat Villagers
NIGERIAN university students under the aegis of Milky Way Youth Movement (MWYM), last week, organised a medical outreach at Okhun village, Edo State.
The event, which witnessed a large turn out of people saw the medical students do free eye check, blood pressure check, BMI and counseling.
The village head, who was delighted by the gesture, said Okhun Village does not have a clinic or a functioning health centre. According to him villagers still rely on native medicine and in times of emergency they go to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital UBTH, which is very far from the village.
