Masari signs N244b budget into law
Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari yesterday signed into law the 2020 budget pegged at N244 billion by the state House of Assembly.
The budget falls short by N5 billion of the initial N249 billion the state government had sent to the House for consideration.
Masari, at the signing ceremony at the Muhammadu Buhari House, commended the lawmakers for a speedy passage of the law.
He said that the budget would be skewed towards completing projects started by the administration, and that expenditure would be made based “on things we can carry out.”
He also assured that his government would do the best it could to execute the budget within limited resources, as he urged the House members to ensure diligence in their oversight functions.
