For Dotun Oladipupo, a lecturer in the department of Mass Communication at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, life has never threated him so badly until he fell into a grave illness now threating his life.

Oladipupo, a father of one, has been fighting Sickle cell anemia all alone until 2016 when he became terminally ill and has since been on the sick bed. He is therefore soliciting for N5.4 million needed to undergo a hip replacement surgery in India.

Prior to now, in his quest of raising the hopes of fellow sickle cell anaemia patients, he started a charity organization, Oladipupo Sickle Cell Foundation and wrote a book titled FATE, where 10 per cent of the book’s proceeds was plowed into the foundation. For his contribution to health and community service, he received an excellence award from Ogun State Government on May 28, 2012.

However, things turned otherwise for him in October 2016 when he was confined to a sick bed. Now, he can only sit with support mechanism and cannot stand at all, while he endures severe pains daily.

Oladipupo therefore seeks the help of concerned Nigerians to rise to his aid and enable him go for the surgery in India. His account details are: Oladipupo Dotun John, Zenith Bank, 2008920469.
