Makinde extols Ekefa Olubadan’s virtues at 70

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has congratulated the Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadan, Oloye Lekan Alabi, on the occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.

Born on October 27, 1950 to the aristocratic Ekerin-Ojengbe family of Ibadan, Alabi was Chief Press Secretary to late Chief Bola Ige and General Manager, Corporate Affairs of Odu’a Investment Limited.

During his visit to Governor Makinde last Tuesday, the celebrant presented his biography titled, ‘Oloye Lekan Alabi and Unbelievable Life.’

The governor, describing Alabi as a quintessential journalist with sterling qualities, said, “It was our pleasure to receive Oloye Lekan Alabi, the Ekefa Olubadan and his entourage, who paid us a courtesy visit this morning. Oloye Alabi turned 70 today (Tuesday) and I wish him a happy birthday and many happy returns on behalf of the government and good people of Oyo State.

“Oloye Alabi is a veteran journalist and public relations guru, and I seized this opportunity to solicit for his assistance with our protocol team. I told him that we are proud of all he has achieved and pray that God continues to keep him in good health and happiness.”

The veteran journalist, author and cultural Ambassador of the National Museums and Monument, Ile-Ife, expressed appreciation to God for keeping him endowed with good health at 70.
