Magu probe: NYCN backs Buhari, says anti-corruption war on track 

The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) has said the ongoing probe of the suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu is a testimony that the anti-corruption fight of the present administration is in good course

The group also attributed the recent corruption allegations against the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami as the handiwork of some disgruntled All Progressives Congress (APC) leaders.  

Its National President, Comrade Solomon Adodo, at a briefing, said certain chieftains of the party, who were unhappy with the dissolution of its National Working Committee (NWC) by President Muhammadu Buhari have chosen to unleash venom on the Attorney General for his legal opinion to the President.

Adodo observed that part of Malami’s sins was the AGF’s insistence that following intelligence and reports, Magu should be probed.  

Magu is being investigated by a presidential panel over multiple allegations of fraud levelled against him.
