Lifting of boycott responsible for election postponement — IPOB
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), yesterday, said calling off its boycott was responsible for postponement of general elections.
Its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said the move was a master stroke that caught government unawares in an alleged plot to use the absence of its members to rig the elections.
He said: “The move by IPOB apex leadership to call off the boycott made it virtually impossible for the election handlers to proceed to rig the elections on the account that IPOB boycotted the polls. It is now clear that some nefarious elements within the corridors of power in Aso Rock wanted IPOB’s boycott to justify their already perfected script that would make it possible for them to emerge victorious.
” By calling off the boycott, Buhari and his cabal lost the initiative and were headed straight for defeat.
“Had our leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, not called off the boycott, the sham elections would have proceeded.”
