Legal practitioners and Information Communication Technology (ICT) experts have identified solutions, aimed at assisting government in the formulation of policies, regulations and laws to address such internet-related issues, cyber attacks, fraud, identity theft, data such as protection, net neutrality and social media.

Other issues identified include internet bullying, stalking, squatting, racism, terrorism, electronic signature, which are addressed in the book titled: “The Nigeria Internet Law” that would be presented during the seminar on digital economy on Tuesday.

Speaking at a press conference, yesterday, author of the book, Akinwunmi Akinwunmi, who is the Lead Partner of Paragon Advisors, Lagos, lamented that Nigeria lacks policies and regulations that would stimulate laws to protect the cyber space for locals, as well as, foreign investors that do business in the country.

The seminar will also have representatives from the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC); National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA); Nigerian Communications Commission, Government officials, the judiciary and Legislative arm of government.
