Lawmakers urge Ihedioha to probe ownership of Eastern Palm varsity
The 27-member Imo State House of Assembly has urged the governor, Emeka Ihedioha, to institute a panel to ascertain the ownership of the Eastern Palm University, Ogboko in Ideato South Local Council of Imo State.
Also, the House asked the governor to dissolve the civil service commission of the state, noting that petitions alleged non-compliance with procedures for the employment carried out by the commission, especially during the twilight of the immediate past regime.
Meanwhile, the governor has approved the appointment of nine more Senior Special Assistants (SSAs).The governor, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Chibuike Onyeukwu, said that the appointments take immediate effect.
