LASU VC calls for stronger family unit as IW gets new president
The Vice Chancellor, Lagos State University, Professor Olanrewaju Adigun Fagbohun, has called for more disciplined, stronger family units as a vehicle for enduring family values, that would ensure a better, improved tomorrow.
He made this remark as the guest speaker at the fundraising and installation of Inner Wheel Member, Adegbemisola Fathiat Amoke Rufai as the 34th District 911 Chairman for the year 2017/2018. In their respective contributions at the event, IWM Oluyemisi Alatise, Immediate Past District 911 Chairman, IWM Oluwemimo Olasanya and the newly installed District 911 Chairman IWM Adegbemisola Fathiat Amoke Rufai praised the organization’s contributions to compliment government efforts over the years, materially and in other ways.
While reiterating the need for improved turnaround of the nation’s fortunes, they expressed the need for cooperation between the society and the leaders, irrespective of religion, tribe, creed or political divide, to arrest the family unit breakdown and collapse of values.
Guests at the event included, HRM Oba Akeem Adesanya the Alara of Ilara, Epe Lagos State, Ogun State Deputy Governor, Yetunde Onanuga, President Rotary Club of Lagos Island, Rotn Sanjeeu Tandon and a host of other dignitaries.
