The Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammadu Barkindo, has advised Nigerians to inculcate the spirit of brotherliness for the unity of the country.

Barkindo gave the advice in Yola, yesterday, during this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival.

He also cautioned hate speech mongers, stressing that Nigeria’s unity and stability was not for the interest of a particular tribe or section, but for the collective interest of all.

He thanked the Federal Government for containing the Boko Haram insurgency and called on the citizens to give maximum cooperation in crushing the elements in totality.

Also speaking, Governor Muhammadu Bindow assured the people of the state of equity and fair representation in the provision of social and infrastructural development.

Bindow urged the people to live in peace with one another, saying that was the only way the country could attain its dreams.
