The Lagos State Government has said the annual Lagos Street Party, which has now been rebranded and repackaged as Lagos Street Carnival, would hold on December 3 at Oba Akran, Road, Ikeja.

Special Adviser to the Governor on Culture, Mrs. Adebimpe Akinsola, disclosed this while providing insight to activities lined up for this year’s carnival.

Akinsola, who promised that participants would have breathtaking experience, said the carnival would provide an opportunity to see, feel and explore Lagos.

According to her, about 700,000 revellers are expected, with Olamide Baddo, Lil Kesh, and Salawa Abeni as some of the artistes expected to mount the stage.

Commissioner for Information, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, said adequate provision had been made by the Ministry of Transport and Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA) to ensure seamless traffic around Oba Akran and adjoining roads during the one-day celebration.
