A 21-year-old applicant, Daniel Nnah, who appeared before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos, on Friday pleaded guilty to the theft of N150,000 cash.

Nnah, who resides at No. 135, Baale compound, Orile-Iganmu, Lagos, is facing a charge of stealing.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Emmanuel Ajayi, had earlier told the court that the accused committed the offence on June 10, at No. 13, Coker Road, Orile-Iganmu.

Ajayi said that Nnah stole the sum of N150, 000 from one Mrs Kehinde Yusuf, before absconding.

The offence, he noted, contravened Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

Chief Magistrate O.O. Olatunji ordered that the accused should be remanded at the Ikoyi Prisons in Lagos.

He then adjourned the matter till July 8, for facts and sentencing.
