Isoko union women wing gets new executive

The women wing of Isoko Development Union has elected new executive to pilot its affairs while a vote of no confidence was passed on its former women president, Ambassador Caroline Usikpedo, at Isoko Unity House, Oleh, Isoko South local government area of Delta State.

Representatives of the women during the meeting expressed total displeasure at the conduct of the former president, noting that her two years tenure expired in December 2016 but issues of financial misappropriation and nonchalance to corrections were other reasons for electing new executive for the women wing.

The new executive comprises Chief Felicia Suleman as president; Chief Beatrice Igogo Oyibotha, first vice president; Mrs. Paulina Ashoma, secretary; Chief Stella Ejeh, treasurer; and Mrs. Kesena Edna as public relations officer. Others are Mrs. Mary Erijo as legal adviser and Chief Ela Okunu to serve as chairman advisory committee.

In another development, the women wing of union led by its new president, Mrs. Felicia Suleman, has pledged the commitment of the body towards moving Isoko nation forward, noting that the progress and unity of Isoko people will be their upmost priority in the dispensation of their duties.

She stated this during the inauguration of the women wing executive at Isoko unity house Oleh. Suleman also commended Chief Iduh Amadhe, president general, Isoko Development Union, for the effort and fatherly role played in ensuring that Isoko is united and peaceful.
