The Supreme Head, Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, Dr. Solomon Adegboyega Alao has decried the insecurity in the country, describing the situation as worrisome.

The cleric made the remark at the just concluded 47th Good Women Annual General Conference of the church held at Orita Bashorun, Ibadan, Oyo State.

Speaking at the event, Alao urged President Muhammadu Buhari to take decisive steps to end the wanton killings and kidnapping of innocent Nigerians and avert violent reactions that may threaten peace and unity of the country.

He also advised the Federal Government to implement the 2014 Confab report and the recommendations of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Committee on restructuring, chaired by Governor Nasir El-Rufai.

He expressed support for fiscal federalism and called for the establishment of State Police as a solution to socioeconomic problems bedeviling the country.

The cleric stressed the need for an independent judiciary that can stand firm and be God-fearing.

Alao said: “We must let the President to know that the security situation in this country is getting worrisome and something urgent must be done. We cannot continue like this.”

The host and Chairperson, Good Women, Most Rev. Folashade Alao, who spoke on the essence of the conference, urged women and the youth to remain firm and steadfast.
