ILA holds conference in Lagos

The International Law Association (ILA) would on October 31, hold its annual conference at the International Centre for Arbitration, Lekki, Lagos.

The conference would focus on the impact of international law on domestic law and practice.

According to a statement by the organisers, it is also designed to provide a platform to examine salient issues in the development and practice of international law in Nigeria.

Lawyers, non-lawyers in business and financial spheres, academics, advocate, practitioners and students interested in international law, would attend the conference.

The branch President, Prof. Fidelis Oditah, (QC), Prof. Akin Oyebode, Prof. Gbolahan Elias, Uche Val Obi, Seni Adio and Mrs. Adedoyin Rhodes-Vivour, would be among the speakers.

Others are the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Edo State, Prof. Yinka Omorogbe, Prof. Damilola S. Olawuyi, Dr. Kubi Udofia, Lemea Abina and Mofesomo Tayo-Oyetibo.

The Chairman of the Conference Organising Committee, Mofesomo Tayo-Oyetibo, said this year’s conference would be unique in its deliberate blend of panelists to discuss topical issues.
