Eminent personalities, including Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and former Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG), Prof Anya O. Anya, would grace tomorrow’s end of the year dinner and seminar of Umu-Aba Connect holding at the Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Anya, who would be the guest speaker at the event, would deliver a lecture on the redevelopment and strategic importance of Aba, the commercial city of Abia State, to the economic growth of the country.

Vice president of Umu-Aba Connect, Chima Anyaso, told journalists that the event is being put together to articulate ideas on how to return the lost glory of Aba and serve as a platform to showcase its potentials to the world and attract investors to come and explore such potentials to create jobs for the teeming youths and boost the economy of the state and Nigeria.

He said the group is a non-political organisation that serves as a rallying point for those who born in Aba and are desirous of giving back to society by pooling resources together to rebuild the town and rekindle the spirit of industry for which the people are known.
