IGP Redeploys Mbu, 18 AIGs, Others

THE Inspector General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase has approved the posting of 49 Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) of Police to the various Zones and 49 Commissions of Police (CPs) to different Command posts across the country.

THE Inspector General of Police (IGP) Solomon Arase has approved the posting of 49 Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) of Police to the various Zones and 49 Commissions of Police (CPs) to different Command posts across the country.

The postings released yesterday by the Deputy Force Public Relations Officer (DFPRO) Abayomi Shogunle said the redeployment has become necessary in order to fill up “the vacancies created from the recent retirement and promotions of senior police officers” across the country.

Arase, according to the statement, approved the posting of Joseph Mbu to Jos, Plateau State, as Commandant of the Police Staff College; Bala Hassan is deployed to Zone 2 Lagos as AIG, while Patrick Dokumor is now the Force Secretary at the Headquarters in Abuja.

Also, AIGs Musa Daura, Adisa Bolanta, Ballah Nasarawa, Lawal Tanko, Usman Gwary and Mohammed Gana are redeployed to Zone 5 Benin, Zone 6 Calabar, Zone 7 Abuja, Zone 8 Lokoja, Zone 9 Umuahia and Zone 10 Sokoto respectively.
