Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade

Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade has said that he is not afraid or worried of his re-election come 2019.

Ayade, who spoke yesterday while addressing members the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Government House Chamber in Calabar, said his re-election was not negotiable because of the laudable projects and most especially the prompt payment of salaries to civil savants in the state.

According to him: “Am I worrying about my re-election, absolutely not? I have no elections as far as I am concerned. Unless the people don’t see, unless the people don’t feel, and if the people feel differently, God is saying my friend go and rest, you don’t need this struggle anymore. So, anyway, in 2019, I am the winner. “This office is not more important than my father’s name; I can lose the office and keep my father’s name.”

“The Cross River that I met has a huge debt so I need to create a brand new income. If you have a seaport that can create over 45,000 jobs for the people why can’t Cross River have a seaport?”
