Hillside School visits The Guardian, lauds firm
The Hillside School yesterday embarked on a one-day excursion to The Guardian office in Abuja in a bid to keep the students abreast with the way newspaper is being produced.
Co-ordinator of Press of the school, Blessing Onwughai, said the school decided to visit The Guardian to let the children have an idea of how newspapers are being produced as well as the ways news are being sourced for.
She said: “The Guardian has a good reputation compared to other newspapers.”Head of Administration of Abuja Bureau, Mr. Ajibade Alagbe, who counselled the pupils on the role of newspaper in their social development, noted that the newspaper should be more of a platform where education is encouraged adding that to be a good journalist, one must pay attention in class, especially to Essay writing.
