Group commends police over arrest of Benue killings masterminds
The Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) has commended the Nigerian Police for successfully arresting the masterminds of the January 1, this year, killings in Benue State in fulfillment of President Muhammadu Buhari’s directive that the perpetrators be arrested and brought to justice.
In a statement in Abuja, yesterday, signed by its Chairman Austin Braimoh, and Secretary, Cassidy Madueke, the group said the arrest was a vindication of the President as a purposeful leader that believes more in action than getting involved in rhetoric.
“We believe the arrest of the perpetrators of the heinous crime will put to rest the misconceptions in certain quarters that the federal government has not done enough to protect Benue people,” it added.
The group called on the media to put more effort in publicising the successes of the Buhari administration in the area of security, especially considering the outrage the Benue killings generated across the country.
The group stated that the President was determined and focused in securing all parts of the country and appealed to Nigerians to support the administration in its efforts to reposition the country for better.
