Groovy fun listening party as 2Baba’s ninth studio album, Warriors drops

It was exciting atmosphere on Wednesday night at the ‘silent party themed’ album listening party for 2Baba’s earlier announced seventh solo album titled Warriors.

Held at The Artisan lounge Victoria Island, Lagos, the exclusively celebrity guest event was well attended by guests that spans the music industry, Nollywood and the media.

The esteemed guests were treated to exclusive first experience of songs from the 13-track album, which was released yesterday, via powerful headsets provided by House of Oni. They also, witness the crispy visual for We Must Groove featuring the Grammy nominated International Music Act, Burna Boy.

Shot by music videographer, Patrick Ellis, We Must Groove is the next single off the 13-track thriller, which also boasts of features from some Africa’s biggest Afrobeats exports like Wizkid, Tiwa Savage and Olamide.

2Baba, the man of the moment was in high spirits, as he vibed with the guests whilst they enjoyed the album. Some notable faces spotted at the listening include the pop legend’s wife, Annie Idibia, Sound Sultan, Joel, Olisa Adibua, Ik Osakioduwa, Kenny Blaq, Ebuka, MC Shakara, Maleke, Uche Jombo, Ini Edo, Omawumi, Orezi, Lord Sky, AY, and his long time manager, Efe Omorogbe among others.

Great reviews flowed right after the listening party as anticipation for the album doubled for everyone in attendance. The project is 2Baba’s latest five years after Rewind. Select. Update, which was released in 2015.

Warriors, is a key offering of the #20YearsAKing project. It captures the hunger, work ethic and fighter mentality that has earned the pop icon 20 unbroken years of trailblazing and industry dominance.
