Garden Pasta: Recipe for musculoskeletal system
THE musculoskeletal is made up of cartilage, muscles, joints, tendons and ligaments in a human body. It is made up of the bones of the skeleton, muscles, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, joints and other connective tissue that support and bind tissues and organs together.
Musculoskeletal system provides form, support, stability and movement to the body, and protects vital organs. For the musculoskeletal system to function effectively, it is important to carefully select the foods we eat. One of many foods that can be taken to help maintain a healthy musculoskeletal system is garden pasta.
This nutritious food has pasta (macaroni) and varieties of vegetable as its basic ingredients. The combination of pasta and vegetables is especially recommended for the musculoskeletal system because it supplies essential nutrients such as carbohydrate, iron, vitamin B1, B2, B6, B12, C, E, and protein that help muscles to carry out their function effectively.
Vegetables in this dish have an alkalising effect, which favour the absorption and fixation of calcium in the bones for strong and healthy bones. Those that want to prevent cancer can also benefit from this meal because of the antioxidant and high fibre content of the dish.
