Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje is currently leading in the supplement election in Kano even as results of two local government areas still pending.

In the results collated so far by INEC, Ganduje won in 26 local government areas against his major challenger, Abba Kabiru Yusuf of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The rerun held in 207 polling units in 75 registered areas (wards) across 28 local councils

The incumbent Governor and the APC candidate has so far polled 34,969 votes against Abba Yusuf’s 6,602 votes.

Already, PDP has a marginal lead difference of 26,655 votes.

However, the official results collated by INEC returning officers now indicates that candidate of APC top the chart with a cumulative marginal difference of 1,712 against the PDP.

As at the time of filing this report, the results of Gama ward in Nassarawa local government had not arrived at the INEC state office.

Gama ward has 83 polling units with 40,821 registered voters. Before the March 23 election was declared inconclusive, the collation of Gama ward was disrupted and result sheets were stolen.
