Four killed at a burial in Benue
The Police in Benue State has confirmed the killing of four persons at a burial ceremony in Tongov district, Katsina-Ala Local Government.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Mukaddas Garba, yesterday, disclosed that the unknown gunmen allegedly carried out the dastardly act during the burial of late Tor Gbev Amaafu.
He said he received information about the attack from mourners and had commenced an investigation into the matter.
He vowed his men would ensure the perpetrators were brought to book, urging the public to assist the Force with relevant information that could lead to their arrest.
An eyewitness, who pleaded anonymity, said the gunmen, numbering over 10, shot severally at innocent mourners.
