Unconfirmedreports, yesterday, said no fewer than four persons were killed and property worth millions of naira destroyed in a renewed exchange of hostilities between the Igbeagu community in Izzi local government area of Ebonyi State and Ukelle community in Yala local government area of Cross River State.

It was further gathered that several farm crops and animals were destroyed, as residents fled to safety in the clash that arose over boundary.

Clashes between the two communities and others along the boundaries of Ebonyi and Cross River States had been on for some time now.

Governments of the two states had raised several joint committees, with intervention from soldiers towards finding a lasting solution to the matter, but to no avail.
