The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Shina Olukolu, has said the command will ensure perpetrators of the gruesome murder of the member representing Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency, Temitope Olatoye ‘Sugar’ are brought to justice.

Speaking with The Guardian in Ibadan, Olukolu disclosed that five suspects had so far been arrested by the police. He assured the bereaved family that the culprits would be arrested and prosecuted diligently.

“It is unfortunate the family has lost a dear person, but like I said when this matter broke out, the Inspector General of Police has given the directive to the police in Oyo Command to ensure that those who carried out the dastardly act are arrested. We will eventually arrest the culprit and ensure diligent prosecution. So far we have five suspects in our custody and we are on top of the situation,” he said.

On the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) leadership, the police boss urged the transporters not to breach the peace of the state.
