Firm partners Ogun State on medical outreach

Power Oil and Ogun State Ministry of Health have entered into a partnership to adequately take care of the health needs residents of the state.

This was revealed during the flag-off of the Power Oil Health Project (Pan Nigeria) at Ori-Omi Ground, Oke Sokori, Abeokuta, where government officials from the state Ministry of Health, Abeokuta North Local Council, Power Oil officials and indigenes of the area gathered to witness the medical outreach being declared open by the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Health, Dr. Nafiu Babatunde Aigoro.

The Public Relations Manager, Power Oil, Omotayo Azeez, said, “the outreach programme has been going on consistently for more than three years and we are happy about the achievements made so far. With the support we have received from Ogun State Ministry of Health, we are confident of a deeper outreach result in the state.”

According to her, to achieve extensive reach and wider coverage across the nation, we have also partnered with other state ministries in the country, to which formal announcements will be made in due course.

Aigoro stated that “we are excited about this partnership deal as we are confident a lot of our people stand the chance to benefit a great deal from this scheme.

Similarly, Director, Public Health, Ogun State Ministry of Health, Dr. Qudus Yusuf, said: “We have actually been planning a similar medical outreach programme before now, however, because of the current economic situation it had to be kept in the pipeline, so the collaboration came at the appropriate time and seamlessly into the state’s visionary plan. We must also commend the Power Oil team for being wonderful in taking up all the requests, even at this period of recession.
