The Dangote conglomerate and its chairman, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, have provided N18.5m seed fund to facilitate construction of the Abia State Education for Employment (E4E) Job Centre Building.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Dangote, represented by his company’s Head, Compensation and Benefits, Mr. Charles Obera, said the donation was a demonstration of support for the human capacity building initiative of Abia State governor, Okezie Ikpeazu.

The governor, represented by his deputy, Ude Oko Chukwu, said the centre was a fulfillment of his electoral pledge to offer technical and vocational training to 100,000 unemployed Abia youths, and help them acquire skills for self-reliance and wealth creation.

He disclosed that the centre would be replicated in the remaining 16 Local Government Areas of the state. He commended the coordinator of the E4E programme, Mr. Endi Ezengwa, for his commitment to the project.
