PROPERTY and equipment worth millions of naira were destroyed in a fire incident yesterday at the premises of Sara Foam Nigeria Limited, a foam manufacturing company in Kirikiri Industrial Estate, Apapa, Lagos.

Although the cause of the inferno is not yet known as at press time, but The Guardian learnt that the fire started at about 5.pm.

Lagos State Fire Service, which confirmed the incident, said fire fighters from three state fire stations and the Federal Fire Service are currently battling to put out the fire.

No casualty was reported as at press time.

This incident in the company is the second in three months that has crippled the operations of the company.

On August 20, 2015 a similar incident destroyed the company’s administrative block and its factory, including its warehouses located within the same complex.
