FG worried about corruption, sexual harassment in educational institutions
The minister, speaking, yesterday, at the 5th National Conference organised by the Waziri Umar Federal Polytechnic, Birnin Kebbi, said that the government is worried and deeply concerned about corruption and other irregularities in the education sector.
Malami, represented by Dr. Mohammed Issa, of the Faculty of Law, BUK, also expressed dismay over the allegation of sexual harassment of students, monetisation of marks and degrees and the absence of due process in the award of contracts.
In his remarks, the Rector of the Polytechnic, Arc. Muhammad Sani Aliyu said the task of fighting economic recession is the collective responsibility of all Nigerians.
“ASUP like other professional groups in the country must be counted as one of the positive groups determined to give our country a new direction and a new lease of life,” he added.
