FG unveils N200m solar power plant in Kogi

The Federal Government yesterday inaugurated the over N200 million solar hybrid power plant in Ukake Community, Ajaokuta Council Area of Kogi State to boost socio-economic activities of the people.

The Federal Government yesterday inaugurated the over N200 million solar hybrid power plant in Ukake Community, Ajaokuta Council Area of Kogi State to boost socio-economic activities of the people.

The plant will provide electricity to un-served and underserved communities across the state and the country by increasing electricity access to remote areas.

Speaking at the commissioning ceremony in Ukake, Managing Director of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Damilola Ogunbiyi, said President Muhammed Buhari was committed to reducing the sufferings of Nigerians through the provision of critical infrastructure.

She said the construction of the multi-million Naira Solar power in Ukake was one of such efforts of the Buhari administration aimed at meeting the needs of rural dwellers in the country.
