‘FG spent N1.3tr on education projects in four years’

Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has disclosed that the Federal Government spent N1.3 trillion on capital projects in the education sector in the last four years.

Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, has disclosed that the Federal Government spent N1.3 trillion on capital projects in the education sector in the last four years.

He made this known yesterday at the second National Conference organised by the President Muhammadu Buhari’s Enduring Legacy Network (MBEL-N) in Abuja.

Adamu, who was represented by a Deputy Director in the ministry, Ben Gong, said the expenditure was besides personnel cost and overheads, which put together, exceeded capital investment on critical infrastructure in the polity.

He restated the government’s preparedness to live up to the expectation of Nigerians to deliver on his campaign promises, especially in the education sector.
