Nigerian government on Monday sacked the executive secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TetFund) Abdullahi Bichi Baffa.

The government then reinstated Suleiman Bogoro, who was dismissed in 2016, to resume his former position as TetFund executive secretary.

“The Federal Government has approved the re-instatement of Professor Suleiman Elias Bogoro as the Executive Secretary of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND),” Nigeria’s education ministry spokesperson Bem Goong said in a statement.

Goong in the statement, stated that Nigeria’s education minister Adamu Adamu said the re-instatement of Prof. Bogoro was with immediate effect.

Adamu stated that Bogoro’s appointment is with the same terms and conditions as it were in his previous appointment, which was stated in the TETFUND staff conditions of service.

It was gathered that Bogoro has resumed position as TETFUND boss.

Bogoro was in the same capacity at TETFUND between April 2014 and February 2016.
