FCTA gives scholarship to Air Force crash injured girl
The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has given automatic scholarship to Elizabeth Elijah, the 15 year-old girl, who was injured in the Nigeria Air Force jets crash recently in Abuja.
It will cover her education expenses from secondary school to university level.
This is in addition to Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Muhhamed Musa Bello’s directive that Elizabeth should be treated freely at the Maitama General Hospital when he visited the scene last week.
This was disclosed in a statement issued by Assistant Director, Information at the FCT Secretariat, Anthony Ogunleye yesterday in Abuja.
Director, FCT Universal Basic Education Board (UBEC), Dr. Adamu Noma, who led a delegation of the FCTA Education Secretariat on the directive of the Acting Secretary, Dr. Bala Liman to the Maitama District Hospital, told Elijah’s family of the decision, while presenting the scholarship forms to Elizabeth.
