For his exceptional accomplishments and leadership style, Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, (LASU) Ojo, Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun, has been conferred a Lifetime Outstanding Achievement Awards of Honour, as the ‘Best Vice Chancellor’ in the history of the institution.

The award was given to Fagbohun by the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions, Lagos State University (NASU-LASU), during their end of the year party and award ceremony held at the institution’s main auditorium yesterday.

According to Fagbohun, NASU-LASU has been the custodian of peace in the institution. “They have been my support system. Without their support, I would not be standing as a successful VC of this great institution,” he said.

The VC, however enjoined the union to support his successor when his tenure expire, as the institution now has an existing template that would continue to flourish.Earlier in his remark, Chairman of NASU-LASU, Comrade Ige Sanni, said the VC is a man of many parts and has turned the institution around with his profoundness.

“He ensures to provide everything we need to achieve success in the institution and we believe he will not relent,” he said. Other awardees at the event includes the institution’s Bursar; Mr Olayinka Babatunde, the immediate past Librarian; Dr. Adebembo Oduwole, Director Academic Planning; Mrs. Olanrewaju John, among others.
