FAAN okays safety measures at Enugu International airport
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has expressed satisfaction with the safety measures and completion of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu State.
Managing Director of FAAN, Captain Hamisu Rabiu Yadudu, who was on a tour of facilities at the airport, commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi for fulfilling his promise of addressing identified challenges that posed a threat to safety of air travelers at the airport.
Speaking after the tour, which involved Governor Ugwuanyi and other government officials, Yadudu stated that the Authority was happy that the state government relocated the Orie Emene Market, abattoir, and was moving to dismantle the Enugu State Broadcasting Service (ESBS) Radio and TV Mast at Ngwo.
Responding, Ugwuanyi who assured of government’s prompt intervention, noted that his administration was committed to the safety of lives and property and progress of the Enugu Airport.
