Ezekwesili to speak at TEDx Maitama Forum today

The convener of Bring Back Our Girls, Oby Ezekwesili will be speaking at the TEDx Maitama Forum today. The aim of the forum is to create a platform for people to interact about issues in the society and provide a way forward.

The Convener of the forum Aisha Sambo said the theme of the forum was “Bridge the Gap” explaining that the aim was to instill consciousness in the minds of people of people on what they can do to bridge the gap in the society.

Mentioning that the event was being held in celebration of the International Youth Day and to raise the advocacy that youths are capable of handling leadership position if given the chance, Sambo pointed out that the event was neither political or business motivated and the participation varies from young to old.

TEDx gives room for conversation to lead to action and I believe that is the impact we are trying to make. Africa has a huge role to play and I feel like if we donít start from the community level how then can we possibly reach the global level?”

Some other speakers include Simifa Jemireku, an education consultant and Sedic Abulkadul, a gamer.
