Expert seeks bill to address land documentation

Worried about the huge housing deficit estimated at over 17 million, Group Chief Executive Officer, Oxford Group Nigeria, Teni Adesanya, has tasked Nigeria’s economic managers to pass a law that would make land documentation seamless.

Specifically, he said if a bill that will make land documentation as easy as opening an email is passed, the country’s housing deficit would be addressed in no distant time.

Adesanya stated this at the grand opening of its member companies, Oxford Group Limited in Lagos recently. He pointed out that plans are ongoing to make housing available for over 100,000 families in the next five years and called on the Lagos State government to join hands with the private sector to address the nation’s housing deficit. He called on businesses to leverage on Information and Technology (IT) to survive in the present hard time, saying that his company has invested in InfoTech to help address quite a number of issues hindering the housing industry.

He assured its customers that his company is all out to take over the housing industry space in the next five years. “Oxford Group Nigeria is a household name that gave birth to so many subsidiaries. Today we are diversifying into various businesses and that is the reason why we are having this office in Lekki today. We want to take over the business space on the island and that is why we are starting off from where. We are into real estate, we are into IT, construction, engineering, agriculture and so many other businesses in Nigeria,” he averred.
