Esan groups back Esele’s guber ambition
Two groups in the central senatorial district of Edo State – Esan Daughters Association (EDA) and Esan Youth Movement (EYM) – have thrown their weight behind the governorship ambition of immediate past national president of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Comrade Peter Esele.
EYM’s spokesman, Solomon Okoduwa, said his organisation believes that that the erstwhile National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) boss remained the right person to take over from Governor Adams Oshiomhole come November this year.
Meanwhile, Esele has said he wants to be a pathfinder leader that would show the people how to stand on their own.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial hopeful who spoke while being decorated as EDA’s patron, urged the people to queue behind him as a game changer and not necessarily because he hails from the senatorial district.
