The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) being envisaged by the Plateau State government on water sanitation should be expunged because PPP is anti-people, which will tie the hands of Plateau citizens to agreements that are ambiguous and not pro-people.

PPP will also make government, through tax-payers’ money, pay corporate entities without fail even when there are other pressing issues requiring funding.

These were the positions of the Head of Media and Campaigns of the Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth Nigeria (ERA/FoEN), Philips Jakpor, when he appeared yesterday before the Plateau State House of Assembly Committee on the Water Bill that was recently sent to the House for approval.
