The management of Elizade University (EU), Ilara-Mokin, Ondo State, has stated that its accounting students will be graduating as chartered accountants.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Theophilus Fadayomi, said this during the signing of mutual cooperation between the university and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).

Fadayomi noted:”The agreement is an initiative put in place by the governing council of ICAN and is the fastest pathway for undergraduate accounting students of participating tertiary institutions to become chartered accountants.”

The National President of ICAN, Mallam Isma’ila Zakari, disclosed that MCATI visitation team to the university’s Department of Accounting was satisfied, as the department exceeded the minimum eligibility criteria set by the council of the Institute.

He said the agreement would afford the students to join other 41,774 chartered accountants in the country on the completion of their studies.
