APC’s time is over in Oyo, says Alao-Akala
Private sector unions in Ekiti State yesterday pledged their support for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Its chairman, Gbenga Abiodun disclosed this at a rally organised in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.

He said the decision to support Buhari was based on his fight against corruption, which the union said, has halted the leakages in all sectors of the economy.

Abiodun urged Ekiti people to re-elect Buhari so that the state could benefit from the laudable programmes of the Federal Government.

He cited the extension of the proposed rail project to Ekiti, which will in, no small measure; boost the economy of the state when completed.

He also identified the Npower programme for the unemployed, Tradermoni, school feeding programme and the rehabilitation of Akure-Ado Ekiti-Ikare road as some laudable projects by the Federal Government.

“We are requesting for more federal presence in terms of loan/grant for the private sectors union, infrastructure development, tourism, agriculture and more dividends of democracy.

“More importantly, we are asking for refund of funds expended on federal roads in Ekiti State. We assure President Buhari of his re-election into office in 2019, as we pledge support for the project,” he said.

Governor Kayode Fayemi urged Ekiti people to vote en masse for Buhari, promising that the president would continue to work for the development of the country and liberation of the masses.

Fayemi, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Biodun Oyebanji, said those who are against Buhari’s re-election are the enemies of the country.

Meanwhile, former Governor of Oyo State,Adebayo Alao-Akala has said the game is over for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State.

He spoke at the public presentation of Adebayo Alao-Akala and Prof. Abideen Olaiya as the governorship and deputy governorship candidates of Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo State.

The former APC stalwart said he wanted to be governor again to rescue the state and reposition it for development.

Alao-Akala also alleged that some elements in INEC are conniving with ruling party to disenfranchise voters in the strongholds of the opposition parties.
