The Ekiti State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal yesterday commenced hearings at the High Court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Apo, Abuja. The matter, however, had to be adjourned till today to enable the sorting of documents to be tendered. Parties had hoped to conclude the sorting of documents in a few hours but once they got started, it became obvious the process would take longer.

In his reaction, counsel to first respondent, Charles Uwensuyi-Edosomwan (SAN), said: “It is a matter of style and in this case, the petitioners chose this way and there is nothing we can do but to just respond. It is the petitioner’s case at this point and we will follow them however they want to do it.”
