Residents of the Garden City of Port Harcourt, Rivers State, last Saturday, tcommended Globacom for giving them an evening of fun and merriment as the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour landed in the Trans Amadi area of the city.

The show, the second to be organised in the city, took place at the Hub Event Centre, which was filled to its capacity with attendees.

One of the guests, Nkemere Divine, who said she had attended all the four Glo shows organised in the city, commended Globacom for organising a show of that magnitude free-of-charge and urged other corporate organisations to emulate the company by delighting Nigerians through support for arts and culture.

In the same vein, Mary Agoha was full of appreciation for the brand for offering her top notch entertainment, adding “this is the best show I have ever attended. I thank Glo for making my day.”

Music stars including, Katch, Di’ja, Omawumi, Kiss Daniel, Yemi Alade, Phyno and Tuface Idibia serenaded attendees, while the comperes, Nollywood pearls, Uche Jombo and Juliet Ibrahim, complemented by three Nollywood legends putting in celebrity appearances, Patience Ozokwor (a.k.a. Mama G), Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) and Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) added zing to the show.

All the stars on parade for the night of fun gave the show a hundred per cent, just as the nation’s most sensational female disc jockey, DJ Nana, dazzled attendees with popular old and contemporary tunes from the wheel of steel.

Hi-hop latest discovery, Uche Ikachukwu, a.k.a. Katch gave the curtain-raising performance. He was followed in quick succession by the Marvin Records female vocalist, Hadiza Blell, fondly called Di’Ja.

The third act, also a Glo brand ambassador, Omawumi, took the show to the next level with her performance and she went a step further by rewarding one of her fans, Juliet Emubor, who danced to the Bonsue track with a pair of her expensive shoes to the cheering of the excited crowd.

The quartet of Kiss Daniel, Yemi Alade, Phyno and Tuface charged the entertainment firmament with their superlative performances.

The 27th edition of the show takes place in Ikorodu, Lagos, this Saturday, and interested Glo subscribers willing to attend the show are expected to have used up to N2,000 recharge cards for either voice and/or data and send SMS “MUSIC IKORODU” to a short code 207.
