The situation in Ebonyi state is so critical that road users now trek long distances to their work places and destinations.Economic and social activities have also been crippled due to hike and scarcity of petrol.

The few stations that have the products sell between 250 and 350 per litre thereby making business and social activities very difficult for people in the state.

It is only the NNPC mega station that sells at normal official pump price of N86 per litre, and long queues were observed at the station as motorists wait patiently for hours for their turns.

Only few vehicles, taxis, keke and okadas were seen on the major roads, thereby forcing road users to trek long distances.
The scarcity has also affected the prices of transportation, commodities and social services.
