DSS arraigns Rivers SSG, APC former lawmaker over alleged poll misconduct
Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Kenneth Kobani and a former state lawmaker, Azubuike Wanjoku were yesterday arraigned in Federal High Court in Port Harcourt by the Department of State Security, DSS over alleged gross misconduct during March 19 rerun National and state legislative polls.
Kobani, who was brought before Justice Liman Mohammed, and others who were said to be at large were charged for an alleged offence punishable by the Terrorism Prevention Act of 2011.
The charges among others read: “that you Kenneth Kobani with others at large on or about March 3, 2016 at a meeting held in your residence at Bodo community, Gokana Local Government Council did conspire to carry out activities that could cause the breach of the peace and break down of law and order on the 19 March 2016 thereby committing an offence contrary to Section 516 of the criminal code act.
