Don’t use pandemic to cause unnecessary tension, group charges Ogoni youths

The group also urged youths to desist from violence and avoid being used by mischief-makers to cause panic in any part of the state to guide against declaration of emergency rule in the state. President of the group, Emmanuel Deeyah, while giving the charge in Port Harcourt yesterday, said the youths of Ogoni should support the fight against the pandemic.

Deyaah noted that the alarm by the State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Paulinus Nsirim, that some Abuja based politicians were making moves to create tension in the state, to warrant declaration of emergency was disturbing and advised residents not to allow themselves be used to achieve said aim. He urged residents to support Governments at all levels and work in synergy to ensure that Covid-19 is defeated.
